Do you mean load in the dog box in your truck? If so & if the hound is big enough to jump on the tail gate just take a piece of hot dog & lay it on the edge of the tail gate so he can reach up & get it.Just keep putting it back further on the tail gate until he has to jump up on it.Then start tossing it in the box.As you toss it in the box say load up.You have to do this several times to get the hound to ''come around'' to just doin' it automatically each time. This is how I trained mine.Hope it helps.

just keep making them get up on their own. dont pick them up yourself... a good way to start them if the hot dog thing isnt working is to just "throw" them up on gait by their collar. they will get the idea sooner or later that getting in the truck means they are going hunting. i let my 2 out of the pen and tell them to "get in box lets go hunting" and they are standing on the tail gate when i get to the truck... the key is a lot of work and patience! good luck

im kinda having the same issue right now. my bluetick is a year old tomorrow and he still wont frigging load up on his own. ive seen him do it on his own before but for the most part i could be standing there all night long waiting for him to do it on his own. i know someone said dont pick him up but if i didnt pick him up i really could be there awhile. i dont know its frustrating and have never had this problem before haha so im in the same boat you are. usually i just wait till i start hunting with the other hounds and the pups will just follow the older hounds onto the truck. usually works for me. eventually they will catch on either way. good luck with your hound

Fellows this is what I've been doing with my 6 Month Old Bluetick this is the second dog ive trained so i hardly know anything about it. But this is what I do...I bring him over to the truck and drop the tail gate then a slap the tail gate a few times and say load up and he's almost there, he's trying to pull himself up but then i pick him up by his collar and the skin on his back and toss him on the tail gate and after that i give him a treat and after that i say get in the box and he' goes in then i give him the other half of the treat and pet him up good. Tell me what ya'll think.
