As is it has a bit less range than some of the others, though not as much as people will lead you to believe. Some folks just don't like change. You can also use a yagi antenna with it if needed with a coax cable and hook up just like WLM and others. So you get the convenience of small compact easy and quick to use unit with the range of the others if needed. I found it much easier to pinpoint my hounds with it as did some others. Some folks have found it to be more difficult to pinpoint thier hounds location with it. I've found it easy to use and just the ticket in some of the thicker stuff, especially when carrying it through a blueberry or laurel swamp. Good luck, Paul Conway.

OK can anyone out there with actual "hands on" experience with the Maxima Complete tell me honestly how it stacks up to the regular older model Maxima. Is the Maxima Complete model easier to operate? I understand that Tracker took some of the simplicity of the Classic & incorporated those easier to use features in to the Maxima Complete. How is the Maxima Complete working for you? Thank you in advance. Farmboy-1

I have the complete and my buddy has the older blue one and we were tracking the same dogs and had the same results. We were keeping our gain the same and everything. The only difference is the complete has a frequency fine tune and a hi lo feature.
