Nick and I bought Clayton in January of 2009. We bought him from John Strickland and Rick Vogel.
Clayton was raised and trained by Calvin Hayes of Ohio. Scott Engle hunted him in the 06 junior super stakes for Mr. Hayes and the won it. Mr. Hayes then sold him to John Strickland, who later partnered with Rick Vogel on him. Jeff Ricklefs of Indiana did the handling of Clayton for their team.
Clayton has won the 06 super stakes, 09 Pkc National Championship. He has also been in the final 4 of the Pkc truck hunt and the Pro Hunt Championship. He has been in the top 16 of the Pkc world hunt, Akc world hunt, and the Akc nationals twice. He has several Pro hunt final fours and added money hunt final fours.
Clayton is 75 pounds in hunting shape. He is a Good hunter. He is tight on track and usually stays by himself. He is as accurate as they come! His strongs points are being alone with a coon. He has a good mouth. He is bawl on the ground with a big bawl locate and a good chop mouth tree dog.
