Dogs got to have heart to stick with one on ground. Ive saw sum great runnin and tree dogs get culled for walking off and leaving a bear on ground. Anything over a year old better stay and bay. Cause there safer fightin a bear than they are quitin and comin to the truck!!

i understand where this guy is coming from ive got a dog with a really cold nose, moves a track well, and will blow the top of the tree out but just doesn't care much for a bayed bear. I hate that ive had 2 cold trailers that have had the same issue but that can be a hinderance to trying tree stock (pure coon dogs) thats never been big game hunted. The only upside to this dog is that he will bay the fire out of a hog i dont care how big it is or how many times he gets flipped and rolled. He'll trail a hog as well so i guess he may stay around for a lil while longer really been thinking of trying him on a bobber. He really hates a house cat so maybe he'll fall in love with a bobcat
