Hi There. My coonhound (3 y/0) seems to have developed a purplish mound recently next to one of her teets. She licks at it a little, but it doesn't seem sensitive to the touch. She's acting normally and went for a good run this morning. Any idea what this is? Because she's acting alright, this doesn't seem to be an emergency so we can wait until Tuesday to go to the vet. However, I'd be interested to see if you think that is ill-advised.

Thanks for any help.

Wow that's red. Could something have bitten her there? Was it solid or was there fluid in it? Had she just been in heat?

Turned out to be a tough infection & had to be surgically removed.

Thanks for you thoughts.

C.
