find some wormer you can give to pregnant hounds without hurting the pups. see about giving her a shot of penicillin two or three days in a row could have some kind of infection.

Not to be rude but how much feed?

My female just had a litter on Jan 2nd. She didn't really gain any weight and she had food in front of her 24/7. She was eating around 4-6 cups a day till the last 3 weeks before birth. Then she ate around 8 cups. And if your dog is outside she's burning up food to be warm and to the growing pups.

You can go to the vet and have her checked out for worms. They'll prolly give panacur which you can give if you want but I chose not to. My in-laws bitch was bred they gave panacur and she aborted. Not saying its a bad product but just be cautious as to what you give her if you want the pups. Just and fyi for you.

I had this same problem last year on my English gyp and the vet said it was the number of pups she had in her she had 15 pups in her so every thing she ate was goin to them and she was a small English dog so if u haven't had a vet check her out I would cause we had to help her deliver all them pups

you can get some powdered goat milk and mix it up and give to her with feed this should help her gain weight and be good for pups. just trying to help. also I would say if see was in an area that that was not very big to keep her from burning of her energy would probably help also just some thoughts.

Some dogs do better on a different feed. Once she's weaned the pups you might want to try a feed switch.
