Has anyone had this issue? 5 month old pup broke toe on right rear foot. Far right digit. Any ideas on how to splint it or how long it will take to heal. I have just been keeping him off of it and having him take it easy.

I had a old English female break on last spring. My vet told me that as long as I hasn't using her in shows, not to worry about it, other than keeping an eye on it and letting her take it easy.

I didn't hunt her for about three months I guess, or maybe four. And I haven't had any problems since. I reckon it depends on how bad a break it is. Hope everything turns out alright.

Lots of rest gonna be tough for a 5 month old puppy to be laid up. I would get him some bones to chew on fer sure.
