new to coon hunting. dog caught up to a coon last night on the ground for the first time. she won the battle but came out a little bloody. shes a black and tan. her one ear got bit and is now swollen and hass pus seeping. should i get antibiotics of just see what it does first? Thanks Tom

During late winter and early spring I have had a lot of trouble with the coon bite, having increased amount of bacteria in thier mouth this time of the year I have had them swell up like they were snake bit. I have given cephalexin 500 mg 1 in morning 1 at night for about a week.
