My bluetick had pups in april. when she got to where she would leave them for a bit she would climb up under the deck or anywhere else she could. Then she would try to take the pups there. (she whelped in our spare bedroom) since I started her back hunting she wouldn't try and hunt her own game. she stays by my side. if the other dogs are close enough when they jump she will go with them. problem is if she comes across a building or anything she will climb up under it and won't come out. I had to quit taking her due to that. She only comes out of doghouse when she has to. doesn't seem excited when I'm loading others to go hunting. Not sure what to do?

Sorry nobody answered your post. There aren't many on this forum these days. Has she perked up any? I think a vet visit may be in order to be sure she doesn't have a hidden low-grade infection or maybe get some bloodwork to rule out some kind of a deficiency.

Sadly she passed away. I did take her to the vet several times. Vet said she died from autoimmune?? not really sure what that means but the antibiotics weren't working.

Thanks for replying. I hate nobody comes here anymore. this was always my go to place for help

I'm sorry you lost her. I feel the same about this site. I learned a LOT here and got my first coonhound from someone who advertised a litter here.
