I just got myself a new truck last night. 03 chevy 1500HD Crew Cab w/ topper. What accessories would you guys/gals put in it, what do you have in your rigs that you couldn't get by without for coon hunting? Lights(spot, flash, flood), storage, dog restraints? Thanks

pdog

Seat covers. Make that waterproof seat covers.
I also have a rubber mat in the bed, an aluminum tool chest and a coondawgs.com decal!

Since you bought a chevy you should start with an extra motor and a tranny. Get you some good molded floor mats that cover every thing, it will make things real easy to clean up after hunting.

:D I just read where you live... THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED... an Auto Start!
That way.. you can start your truck... have it all warmed up by the time you get in it.. and also.. if you get turned around in the woods... Hit the Panic button on your remote.. and your horn will sound!! There ya got it.. Heat.. and compass all in one!!! lol

I have the Auto start already, (it's been butt cold here for about 2 weeks), I was looking at the Neoprene seat covers, and I am going to order a coondawgs decal tommorrow. Anything else specifically aimed at coon hunting? I was thinking of a tow rope to pull out all the Ford and Dodge drivers. No offence guys!! Thanks for the input.

Rechargable mag light flash light. Tow strap, jumper cables and a good stout Warn wench. Cow catcher grill protector and go on ahead and put a dent or two in it, it just helps :D .

i say 4x4 is a must, some do fine with out it but when ya need it it there. a dog box with storge on top is a must,if you have a nice truck and want to keep it that way buy a little pice of crap to hunt out of.oh ya you have that you said chevy!!! just kiding, tool box is a must for rain coats, boots, watter for the dogs and drinks for you. rubber matts in side , but all in all it's what you have in the box that matters. not what ya drive, like they say the bull ##*%* stops when the tail gait drops,
