i was just out with my young bluetick coon dog and he started a long chase figured deer but i let him go for awhile anyhow then he started to bay something in a clear cut under a brush pile i finally made my way threw it and he was going nuts baying i was keeping a distance cause i was by myself and i herd something it was like a rotwiler or lab BARK back randon real short. i got into the pile moving stuff around but whatever it was wasnt there or ran it looked like some kind of den. but anyways for you coyote guys what kind of noises do they make ive herd em houw and make all the crying baby sounds but never just a bark. could this has been a yote or a stray. or just my dogs voice choppin.

Could have been any of them. Coyotes do bark though if thats what your asking. Generaly a short high piched bark. I don't hunt them with dogs but do call them in with distress calls and if they spot you some times they will stand out there and bark.

i dont hunt them with a dog either but my dog took two tn and one must have been a bait dog they were fighting and that yote ran it right back to the pack scared the ##*%* out of me almost lost the dog twice idk what the hell got into him

I've been hunting yotes with hounds now for about 5 years! Yes,,, they will growl and bark at a hound! Some barks are high and I have also heard a few low barks from a yote when fighting the hounds!
