I love coonHunting and me and my dad go all the time and i was wondering if running a bear is as as fun as coonhunting. I watched videos on youtube and it looks like a blast and i want to know which one yall think is the most fun.

i mostly coon hunt, but i got a buddy who moved back to wv, a few years back him and his family are big in bear hunting. i ve got the change to go bear hunting a few times and i love it. 15 dogs running low down and the tree job nothing like hearing 15 or 20 dogs on a tree, but alot more work than coonhunting, if they was bear in my home state of ohio i would be bear hunting too

Imagine how much you like coon hunting, times that by 10 and thats how much you'll like bear hunting. Whole different type of hunting. I started out coon hunting with my buddy, that was a blast and I still have fun doing it but man bear hunting is a blast! You will love it, guaranteed! Good Luck!

well i coon hunt year round hard, and after one week bear running last summer im addicted for life. LOL. its totally different than coon running and i guarantee whatever you saw on youtube was a tree and there is a lot of hard work done before you make a tree. LOL.

where i travel to hunt there is a six dog limit on a chase and we run between four and six dogs and usually half the dogs are pups. its an awesome experience and i encourage you to try it if possible. good luck.

Sorry to correct you my friend, but South Carolina is loaded with bear. Look at my website link below under the bear hunting section and 80% of those bear pictures were taken in South Carolina. Look under the video section and you can hear what 15 dogs on a bear sounds like as well. Last years annual bear harvest for 6 days was over 55 bear. Just because you dont see them, dont mean we dont have them.

coon hunting is fun but bear hunting is ALOT more fun. you just have longer walks (unless you have roads around) and alot more work to do to get the bear. You'll love it tho!

If photos mean more than words then videos rise above that. The link above shows five of my hounds baying on a boar in a hole one spring they caught on a lion hunt. We had started a young lion in the dirt and the dogs switched and put this bear in a hole........
