i have a 12 month old walker female. i have been working with her ever since she was about a month old. i started out by dragging a coon hide and she got really good at finding it. then i trapped coons and released them and let her tree them. she did pretty good except she wouldnt open or bark treed. she would just jump on the tree and whine. i take her with older dogs and she just hangs around me and when the older dogs tree she just doesnt seem interested. now she is 12 months and still hasnt treed one by herself. i take her out by herself and she doesnt go far. i was wondering if any of yalls dogs have started out like mine but they ended up making a good coon dog? please let me know. thanks.

its that kid in the background distracting her lol joking .....dogs work at there own pace most of my dogs tree by 8 or 9 months by a year there treein on there own ... but ive gotten a few that i got a lil older that didnt start to even show up at the tree till a year old ....... shoot a few out for her let her get the first few then tie her back and let her go nuts ..... its all about turning the corner or flipping the switch ... how ever u wanna look at it
