A few years ago, I was working a heavy, houndy, 2-year female out of Ball’s Wildman Willie. She was alone and trailing in a little creek bed while I watched. There were two holes in the sheer bank. They were about 10 feet apart and about 14 inches wide. Gypsy went in one of the holes and didn’t make a sound for about 5 minutes then the coon came out of the other hole and went back in behind my dog. After a bit the dog came out the same hole the coon came out of. I thought she would go back through the tunnel but she wasn’t falling for it and I had a chance to catch her. The coon stayed in there this time so I leashed up and went home.
In the words of LCK, “... holes scare me to death.”
