I'm stationed down here in Louisiana. I have killed 4 cottonmouths over the last 3-4 weekends of coon hunting. I'm worried they might get ahold of my dogs. Anyone had that happen? I would be extremely upset to lose a dog to a snake.

we don't coonhunt until snakes go in here. Alabama. we have seen thrm during the day, but not at night.
& i have had a hound get bit by a cotton mouth bout 4 years ago, it killed her instantly..she was just 9 months old..
