Yesterday my wife texts me at work an says. "The dogs won't eat thismornin an they won't stop barkin into the woods" well I had a live trap set about 25 yards thro the woods from the dog pen. So I just figured there was a coon in it. I've only hunted my pup once with no luck and after a dead GPS just been takin it easy. So I get home from work totally forgot about the trap let the dogs out go back inside I didn't even have my boots off and they was just hammerin it so I looked out the window an realized they were barkin right in the direction of the trap so I let them out of the pen an they bolted thro the bush into the woods an found him so I let them have their joy for about five min er so. Leashed em n took them inside about four hours later I released the coon. Waited bout ten mins a took Wes out in the woods.he drug me right to where the trap was an I unleashed him an waited I knew the coon didn't go far. I was so glad to see Wes workin a track like that an the he "treed". He didn't open up but smelt the tree an ran circles around it. It was impressive for me from him. Just figured I'd share

my pup was like that on cage coon and i took her hunting by herself. so if she struck a hot track she was on her own to figure it out. and did she figure it out! she treed 3 coon and opened up on the tree. it was like she has treed a hundred coon looked like one of my old dogs. i would have to say its the best feeling to see your young pup track and open up on tree
