A9775 would make microchipping all dogs over 4 months of age
compulsory in New York State, and it would create a widely available "dog database". The database would include the number of dogs in a given household, their breed, and their reproductive
status, as well as personal information on the dog owner. The
proposal includes **NO** repeat **NO** protections for the privacy of the millions of law-abiding dog owners in New York whose PERSONAL INFORMATION would reside in such a database.
