I have the Ruger, the SW and the Browining.
For dependability and durability- Ruger wins hands down
Accuracy, trigger, sights- Buckmark wins
SW- can't say anything bad..
Single six is accurate and very durable- I just don't like to load/unload it.
Taurus tracker .17, very accurate, loud, heavy, nice trigger. This is the first year it will be legal for night action in mn.
If I am using a handgun for coon my goto is the Ruger 22/45 stainless tapered barrel, fixed sight, with a leather hunter holster.

I have and hunt with a Walther P22. It is 4 1/2 inches and only weights 14.5 oz fully loaded. I love it. I have not found a tree high enought that I couldn't shoot him out of it.
