Hello, Does anyone have any opinion's on the kennels silencer's. Has anyone used themselves. Figure the cost is about $200.00. I have 4 Redbones, 2 males on chains, 2 females in kennels. The dogs are stretched out about 80' ft across. Thanks.

We have one, which we got for the back yard. It didn't work very well for us. It scared the crud out of the cur-mutt, and she was afraid to go outside for weeks. Once she finally got going outside, she started ignoring it entirely. After about two months (past the point where we could no longer return it) it was no longer accomplishing anything at all.

The bluetick ignored it from the start.

I've had the best luck long-term from the tri-tronics bark limiter. And I've wasted a lot of $$ on a lot of "cheaper" solutions which worked just long enough to get me past the return period, and then stopped being effective.

My uncle passed away a couple of years ago and I got his kennel silencers. THEY DID NOT WORK.

I have one and would not live without it. The only thing is that my dogs are all in runs and all under a lean-to so it may work better there.

Thanks for the advice. I think under the current situation, the bark collars will be the most efficient and cost effective. Thanks again for all the help.

Found this old post and figured I would see if anyone had used any of the newer ultrasonic kennel silencers.
