My dog keeps digging if was thinking about staking fence to the ground all on the floor and then cover it with straw. you think this will work?

they will still dig by pen i put the fence in about 6in then i got "road pack" or i think its #8 rock and went all way around pen with it about ft high then in middle i got lime

For our dogs that dig, we laid some welded wire on the ground, staked into the ground on the corners, then covered it with light colored (almost white) gravel. Then staked the chain in the middle and put the dog house on one side. we used the light colored gravel because it gets very hot here during the summers (110+sometimes) so it wouldn't get too hot under the dogs feet and radiate up from the ground. Makes clean up very easy as well.
