I've gotten some good advice on this and I agree that 2 dogs that get along would be fine together but I've noticed in pictures it seems that most people keep their hound seperated in the kennels. I understand the reasoning behind this but how many of you keep, or have kept 2 dogs together and what were your experiences with it? I know with beagles a lot of people keep em together and I have a couple squirrel dogs together. Just looking for other opinions and maybe a new discussion for the board.

if it is a pup that i am in the process of training i pen it with the older trained dog. seems to me that the pup goes better with the older dog if they are pennned together.

I have two beagles together and one of them is coming into heat and had to separate them. the one coming in is tering mean and all she does is fight with the other one . she even take her food and never does that thay have bin together for a long time.

I have two hounds together in a large enclosure but they do share a dog house. For the most part everything is ok. They are both female. The only problems are that occasionally one of them starts getting chubby and the other a little slimmer. Also there are two minds thinking mischievious thoughts.

Thanks guys. I'm planning on putting a young male pup with a grown female that's not agressive at all. I'll eventually use her to train the pup so I figure it should help to have him be close to her. I'll hunt him alone once he gets the hang of things so he won't be dependent on her.

my buddy has two walker females together. only thing i have seen is what skinnychaser said about one getting a little fatter then the other sometime

i keep all 3 of mine together in a large pen other than them ripping and running all day playing they get along great

I can agree with that one! My two [neutered] males definitely feed off each other when it comes to getting into trouble...

i alaways keep them in a seperate pen cause they fight over food and dog house.i think its better to keep them seperate

i have a 4yr old fixed walker male and a 13mnth old bluetick female in the same pen she fat he skinny they play and tumble around alot and alot more poo to clean lol but they get along fine when she was in heat she only let him around her she tried chewin my other walker male to pieces
