I have always built my own dog houses out of wood, how do you like the plastic ones you buy at the store?

My gyp dog has a like an igloo dog house, and my male is presently in a plastic 45 gallon drum....When I open the pens to let them together for a while he takes over her house...guess he's jealous

I use 55 gal. drums. I use to have homemade wooden boxes but they were a pain to powerwash around all the time. I close my kennels off in the winter and put straw in the barrels and they seem plenty warm.
