Thinking of Camo Painting a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Jeep is a 96 with over 200,000 miles on it. Jeep will be used for fishing, hauling junk, and etc.. So I am not interested in those high dollar camo wraps. Heck, I don't know how long the jeep will keep running.

Seen some real nice camo painted truck on a site that were done using the spray cans.

I am looking for tips as well as pattern ideas.

i would start off with some flat green paint and then cut out some leaves and branches and paint them nlack and tan and a darker green

look at some duck hunters boats alot of those guys do it themselves

Whenever we want to camo something we just buy a lot of spray paint and have at it. The great thing about it is if you don't like how it turns out you just keep painting it till you do like it.

Mack's Prairie Wings (mackspw.com) has stencils for comoflaging duck boats.I've used them a few times and they came out well. One thing to keep in mind is that all those details on that website were done with an airbrush, but you can get paint markers and get about the same effect. And make sure to use flat paint-nothing screams yuppie more than glossy camo.

Somewhere there is a kit for around $25.00 and it will look just like the old military trucks. It's a paint by the numbers thing, just the kit and the spray paint and ya got a dyn-O-mite camo jeep.
I seen and talked to a fellow who had a Nissan pick-up painted with this same kit. He used the kit and regular paint in a spray booth and did a professional job on that truck.
Sorry I can't think of where to find the kit. If I think of it I'll be sure to post or PM ya.

all of the above advice is great however i reccommend rhino lining the entire truck then putting camo over it....we did that to our old huntin truck i would post pictures but it spontaniously combusted one afternoon and burnt up god bless its soul

LOL, maybe you didn't see the part of not wanting to camo clad it due to age of vehicle and high miles and not knowing how much life is left in it.

The cost to rhino line a truck bed is around $350 average....I couldn't imagine the cost to do a whole vehicle then the cost to paint it.

It would be cheaper to go the camo-clad route than go the rhino covering then paint.
