at 59, i feel good knowing i'm past having to put headers on a perfectly good truck and putting dual exhaust on just to let other young men know that i'm cool too. i'm looking for a higher level of adventures in futility.

in my opinion you absolutely can't go wrong with FLOWMASTER. What series you get just depends on exactly how loud you want it. Another good name is the Glass Packs but Flows are better on gas. Flowmaster is my exhaust system of choice for any truck.

Just turn it off and step out the truck before you shoot, you'll be o.k.

i havent noticed loud exhausts scaring game...but then again unless were coon hunting, im usually not hunting close to the truck anyways.
if you want something that sounds good but isnt loud, look at Dynomax. i needed a cat back put on my 94 Jimmy..i didnt want the flowmaster...love the sound but its SO common...bunch of guys recommended the Dynomax Ultraflo...it sounds good but isnt overly loud....if you ran headers and duals i think it would be louder and sound pretty awesome.
if you do alot of highway driving more open exhausts will increase your gas mileage as well...
if your gunna run duals you might as well do it right and run headers so you are running true duals..
next truck id like to do something with the exhaust...either headers and dual dynomax ultraflows or a simple glass pack that will be probably way loud...im sick of the rice burners and tuner cars with the giant coffee can exhausts here on campus!

i agree with you ... my current adventure is picking out which hearing aids to buy at age 52 from progressive hearing loss brought on from being around to much loud noise when i was younger

I had a 78 F-250 with 2 and 1/4" duals with 12 inch glass packs. It sounded good, not terribly loud unless you happened to be in between buildings in town (and for some stranger reason it got real loud then lol) But as for hunting, it never bothered any critters. I drove almost to my deer stand for two seasons and saw deer every day.

it can spook game if theres a couple of guys with good sounding exhaust in your area. lol i have his problem my yj has one of them red cherry bombs on it with some cheap tip from wal-mart lol sounds like a " ricer ". if other guys in your area hunt and have loud exhaust either get used to parking farther away when you hunt or get a hound that can run a cold trail.
thats how she be around my neck of woods any way lol
