It must suck being cramped up in those small trucks with only v6 power. I drive a 06 Dodge 3500 Megacab (I could put one of those small trucks in my back seat) 4x4 Cummins and get 17-18 city and 21-23 on the highway. That is BONE stock. No chips, custom exhaust, etc.

bout 20 on big v6, 24 on little v6, 28 on 4 banger all with stock tires

they about the same 18 or 19 with bigger tires just you have more power with the bigger motors.

we've had one of each all late models all 4 wheel drive all ext cab all standards plus a 4.0 automatic. the 4.0 standard is the way to go

yeah all we put on there was like 31s and the four cyl plumetted we prolly could have gotten a narrower tire and put about 70 lbs air in it and woulda been less drastic drop. the 4.0 v6 auto was about 16 to 17 maybe 18 the standard was more consistant and a lil bit better. you put a 4wheeler on a trailer and you'll be glad you got the big v6 still has a bit of power

I dont see how anybody can get over 22 mpg in a 4 wheel drive truck even if it is a 4 cyl.My toyota I had averaged 18-19 mpg and my nissan only gets around 17.both with 4 cyl. and stock tires.

I found when I geared my Yota down I got better fuel milage, the stock gears where way to high for it and I was luggin all the time. I put 4:10's in it and my mileage went up to around 22-25 thats with out my dog box, with my box and loaded with dogs I get around 17-18. And I have 31-11.5-15 Swampers on it. I think if I went to a tire with less tread I would get better fuel mileage, like a 255-265 BFG mud terrain.
