anyone here hunt out of a 2wd truck? i recently aquired a 92 chevy long bed pickup and wondered if anyone had hunted out of them. it is a fine running truck with a v6. picked it up for about 400 bucks.

Anybody in the right mind would use a 2wd truck with a 4 or 6 cyl as high as fuel is, its the smart way.. i've got lots of hunting where its flat and you dont need 4wd. been there done that

when ran right not shifting at high rpms or anything it gets between 28-35 mpg. about 10 if ran hard. it hasnt failed to take me up any hill i wanted to go up yet in these kentucky mountains.

It doesn't matter how you get to the woods as long as you get there used to drive 2 wheel drives all the time not good in deep mud but throw on some chains, a little weight in back and drive with common sense you can really go through some snow for more traction add a locker in rear end I think there is one called lock right it uses your carrier just replaces spider gears not a full locker but alot cheaper and easier cost around $350

this truck goes good im goin to et some mudders on the back of it. it already has something that makes both wheels pull all the time. it is a great truck. id say it runs better tan most that have over 200000 on them!

martin county!! i hunt in martin pike and sometimes lawrence counties. but i havent had this truck out of county hunting yet.

I ussually hunt out of a twd truck till the tires start a spinnin then i shift it into 4wd :lol: :lol: :lol:
