I think there is more pleasure dogs that would b better to breed to than comp dogs what do yall think

I hear the same, I can't say for sure I don't do the whole club or competitive thing, from the guys I know that do it there dogs are just as crooked as them, but I'm sure there are some good and some bad,

To me a good competition dog and a good pleasure hound are one and the same. I want a "strait" coon dog, that will go hunting, alone or with company, and get treed and stay treed.I don't know any pleasure hunters that want a dog that stays at your feet, runs trash, mean, or leaves the tree. Don't think it would be much of a "pleasure" to hunt a hound like that.That being said, if you are gonna breed, you should hunt with the dog you want to breed to and make sure the hounds you are breeding are compatable.

Ive coonhunted since i was 8 years old with blueticks and loved it bought one competition walker from a friend and we had to give him away bc he almost bit my 2 year old brother thats why my dogs are always family dogs first if it turns out they cant hunt worth ##*%* nbd i just love having a good tempered hound around!
