A lot of the old Bragg dogs had a split nose. Is this a trait that still shows up today? I have been very interested in this blood line for years, but I have never found any pups or dogs that have been close to me.

Yes, we still have some of the Bragg dogs that have the split nose. I have two females here with the split nose. I also have a male that ken Fischer is hunting in New Your that has the split nose...

The Bragg dogs orginated and have been bred here in the hills of West Virginia for many years. The are bred predominatly for coon but do well on bear and cat also. They general hunt medium with cold noses, big bawl mouths, good track dogs and solid tree dogs. I have owned and hunted this line for over 35 years. The cross well with most different lins in the Bluetick breed.... If you need more information, feel free to comtact me... We made a cross several years ago on an Uchtman female that produced some top hounds.... Who owns the Bragg dog in Pa and where did he come from. He may have my name on the papers.....

Not sure of his name, the previous owner of my gyp took her to him. He lives around Johnstown.
