i have a problem with one of my pups. if the coons are moving shes hard to beat. shes a heck of a hunter and will fire off every time. but when the coons arnt feeding she like to tree a possum. she knows shes doing wrong because she'll only half tree and come to me with her head down and her tail bettwen her legs. ive tried beating her and smothering her. nothing seems to work. shes a good prosect, and has the making of a champion. i dont want to ruin her, so does anyone know of another way to try to break her.

it aint a good idea to beat your dog.my dog must of been beat when she was younger and i am now just getting her starting to get used to me and not scared she is a year and a half
shock collar is the way to go but i mean if u dont have one then dont do what theyre callin beat the dog just a good stinging switch is the next best way to discipline a dog

ive heard good things bout those scent holding breaking collars if that dont work pour some ammonia on the possum if your dog gets ahold of one on the ground and then let your dog loose again they wont touch it and wont want to get another that worked for my buddy who had the same problem
